Day 1 Izmir – Belgrade
Meet at Adnan Menderes Airport International Departures Terminal 3 hours before our flight. Depart for Belgrade at 17:05 on AJet Airlines flight VF1001. After a comfortable flight, we arrive at 17:55 and, following passport control and entry procedures, begin our Belgrade city tour by private coach. Belgrade, one of Europe’s oldest cities and the new symbol of vitality and movement, the capital of Serbia, will be explored. Sites to be seen include the Old Palace decorated with magnificent carved ceilings from the Ottoman period, the Millennium Monument, Belgrade Fortress, where Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror was wounded in his campaign at the point where the Sava River joins the Danube, but whose conquest fell to Suleiman the Magnificent, the Square, Tašmajdan, the Military Museum, the tomb of Şehit Ali Pasha, and Bayraklı Mosque. After the tour, overnight in our hotel in Belgrade.
Day 2 - Belgrade
After breakfast, the rest of the day is free at leisure. Guests who wish may join the Zemun & Avala Tower & Tito’s Mausoleum & Tesla Museum Tour. Overnight in our hotel in Belgrade.
Optional Tour: Zemun & Avala Tower & Tito’s Mausoleum & Tesla Museum: 70 Euro
Guests who wish may join our optional Zemun - Avala Tower and Tito’s Mausoleum tour. On this tour, we first head to Zemun. In Zemun, we will see mansions from the Austro-Hungarian period, the market, the tavern street, the old theater, and Zemun Park. Then we proceed to Avala Tower, designed by architects Uglješa Bogunović and Slobodan Janjić. After visiting the tower, which was bombed by NATO in 1999 and reopened in 2010, we will visit the memorial tomb of Marshal Tito, the founder of the 2nd Yugoslavia, of Croatian origin. Tito was elected President of Yugoslavia on 13 January 1953, transformed Yugoslavia into a Socialist Federal Republic, was appointed lifetime president in 1974, and died in 1980 under circumstances that still remain controversial. After our visit to Tito’s tomb, we continue to the Tesla Museum. Nikola Tesla, the Serbian-born American inventor, physicist, and electro-technical expert, made numerous inventions and experiments that truly changed the structure of science and technology worldwide. In particular, his invention and proof of wireless electricity transmission demonstrate how unique an inventor he was. We are sure you will be fascinated by this museum.
Day 3 - Belgrade
After breakfast, the rest of the day is free at leisure. Guests who wish may join the Novi Sad - Sremski Karlovci Tour. At the end of the tour, we return to Belgrade. Overnight in our hotel in Belgrade.
Optional Tour: Novi Sad & Sremski Karlovci Tour: 75 Euro
On this tour, we set off with our private vehicle in the morning to Novi Sad. Our first stop is Sremski Karlovci. In this beautiful town, the Karlowitz Peace Treaty was signed in 1699 after 72 days of negotiations between the Ottoman Empire and Austria-Hungary-Venice and Poland. During our visit, we will see the 4-door venue where the treaty was signed, as well as the square, the fountain of four lions, the historical high school, and Orthodox and Catholic churches. After a coffee break, we continue on our way. Along the route, we will see the Belgrade Gate, clock tower, upper town, long barracks, and Leopold Gate at Petrovaradin Fortress. Then we arrive in Novi Sad. Vojvodina is a multi-ethnic province in the north of Serbia. Economically, it is the most developed region of Serbia, and its capital is Novi Sad. During our walking tour here, Freedom Square, the National Theatre, Dunavska Street and the riverside, the Svetozar Miletić Statue, the Catholic Cathedral, the Orthodox St. George’s Cathedral, St. Nicholas Church, and the Synagogue will be seen panoramically.
Day 4 Belgrade - Izmir
After breakfast, we check out of the rooms and have free time. At the time determined by our guide, transfer to the airport. After baggage, ticket, and check-in procedures, we depart for Adnan Menderes Airport on AJet Airlines flight VF1002 at 18:45. Arrival at 21:25 and the end of our tour.
