Day 1 — City Center and Northern Island Tour
For the Chios Island tour, we meet at 08:00 in the check-in office at the Çeşme Customs Port. After passport control, we set sail for the blue waters of the Aegean at 09:20 and reach Chios Island after an enjoyable 30-minute ferry ride.
After completing our entry procedures, we begin exploring Chios Island with our guide.
First, we start our walking tour in Apoloteria, the center of the island, where we visit the Mecidiye Mosque from the era of Sultan Abdulmejid, Vounaki Square, and the Chios Castle. After getting to know the Ottoman artifacts within the castle, we proceed to our vehicle and start the Northern Island tour.
Our first stop is the historical four windmills by the sea: Tabakika, one of the symbols of the island. We take a photo break here. Then we proceed to Daskalopetra, which is believed to be the place where Homer wrote his works. This rocky area, which was turned into a school by his students in the 6th century BC, is significant both historically and culturally.
We take a lunch break in Langada, a charming fishing village. You can taste fresh seafood, mezes, and local flavors at the taverns by the sea.
On the way back, we take a photo break at the Agios Isidoros Church, one of the landmark buildings of Chios Island, located over the sea. It is rumored that this saint is associated with mastic resin.
Day 2 — Free Time
After breakfast, you can spend this day as you wish.
You can shop in the town center, relax at the beach cafes, swim in the sea, or enhance your day with additional activities suggested by your guide.
In the evening, guests who wish can join a fun Greek night featuring the unique flavors of traditional Greek cuisine, accompanied by live music and dancing with "bouzouki".
Day 3 — Southern Island Tour
After breakfast, we start our Southern Island tour. Our first stop is the village of Armolia, known for its handmade ceramics. We take a short break at one of the ceramic workshops.
Then, we visit Mesta, the best-preserved castle-village from the Middle Ages to the present. After passing through the labyrinthine streets, we take a coffee break in the village square and visit the Taxiarhis Church.
Next, we move to Pyrgi village, famous for its houses adorned with geometric patterns. We learn about this special decoration technique called “Ksista” from our guide.
We conclude our tour with a lunch break at a tavern by the sea, where our guests can taste various seafood and mezes.
Finally, we proceed to the port, and after completing our customs procedures, we board the ferry for the return to Çeşme.
