TOUR PROGRAM:
Day 1; Marmaris – Rhodes, Rhodes City Tour
Departure from Marmaris Port at 09:15.
Check-in at the ferry office located at Marmaris Cruise Port at least 1 hour before departure, then transfer to Rhodes by fast catamaran. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, you will be greeted by our guide at Rhodes Port and proceed to the City Tour. The panoramic City Tour will include visits to the main port of Rhodes called Mandraki, which was known as the place of the famous Rhodes Colossus in ancient times, the Murat Reis Mosque, and the clean Elli Beach located near the city center, along with the Aquarium Area and the Kritika neighborhood where the Turks exiled from Crete lived together. After a photo break with the magnificent views of both the New City and Old Town from Monte Smith Hill, we will visit the archaeological site of the ancient Rhodes Acropolis, established in the 3rd century B.C. After visiting the Apollo Statue and the Ancient Stadium, we will transfer by bus to the Old Town area of Rhodes. The walking tour will continue through the Old Town. Within the kaleidoscopic streets surrounded by historic walls, we will visit the Knights' Street, Ahmet Ağa Library, Ottoman Medrese and Baths, the famous Grand Master Palace with its unique sculptures and mosaics, Mustafa Paşa Mosque, the Clock Tower, the Turkish School, Cem Sultan House, and Ibrahim Pasha Mosque under the guidance of our tour guide. After completing the City Tour at the Square of the Fountain, also known as Hippocrates Square, we will transfer to the hotel for accommodation.
Day 2; Free Day on Rhodes Island,
After breakfast at the hotel, you can either cool off and sunbathe in Rhodes' magnificent sea or rent a car to embark on a journey through history and culture on the richest island in the Aegean, Rhodes. The late afternoon is the ideal time to get lost in the narrow streets of the old town and take photos. The architectural works of the civilizations that have lived on the island with its rich history can be found everywhere. For dinner, we recommend making a reservation in advance at seafood restaurants or taverns with Greek music alternatives. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 3; Free Day on Rhodes Island, Rhodes – Marmaris, (Lindos Tour – Extra: 50 Euro)
Departure from Rhodes Port at 16:00.
After breakfast at the hotel, you can either rent a car to explore the rich history and culture of Rhodes or join the Lindos Tour, which is organized extra by our guide. On your route, you can see the locations where some scenes of the movie Zorba were filmed in the Kallithea area and visit the Tsampika Monastery, considered a place for childless couples in Greece to pray for children. In Lindos, you can explore the poetry-like streets adorned with white slate and enjoy its unique sea. The Lindos Tour ends at the port used for the return.
Guests who do not participate in the Lindos Tour will proceed to the passport control to be ready at the port 1 hour before the ferry departure. The sea journey will take approximately 1 hour, arriving at Marmaris Port at 18:00. (Due to the time difference, arrival time in Marmaris is 18:00)
