Meeting at the departure terminal of Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport. Departure for Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, at 17:05 on AJet flight VF1001. After a comfortable and pleasant flight, arrival at 17:55 local time, and after entry procedures, transfer to our hotel by our private vehicle waiting at the airport. Day 2: Belgrade – Sarajevo
After breakfast, we depart for Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Upon arrival, we will visit a city that has long been the cultural capital of the Balkans and has gone down in history as the place where World War I broke out following the assassination of Austro-Hungarian Crown Prince Archduke Franz Ferdinand by Serbs in 1914. During the devastating 1992 war between Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks, the city suffered major destruction, yet Sarajevo managed to preserve much of its beauty. On our panoramic city tour, we will see the famous Baščaršija, the historic Ottoman inn Morica Han, the Catholic Cathedral, the Synagogue reflecting the city’s religious cosmopolitanism, Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque and Ferhadija Mosque, Latin Bridge where the assassination of Franz Ferdinand took place in 1914, the Old Library, and the Western-style buildings formed during the city’s 40 years of Austro-Hungarian rule. After breakfast, we depart from Sarajevo. Our first stop is Mostar, famous for its historical and cultural richness. Here we will see the Mostar Bridge, one of the masterpieces of Ottoman architecture, built in 1557 by Mimar Hayreddin. This bridge was destroyed in 1992 but was rebuilt in 2004 with the contribution of the Republic of Türkiye. After exploring the enchanting atmosphere of Mostar, we will visit the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque. Then we head to Blagaj. Blagaj is built at the source of the Buna River, one of the strongest springs in Europe. After a short free time here, we continue to Počitelj. We will visit Počitelj, preserved with its historical texture and known as the Turkish Village, and see the Ottoman works built in the 16th century. Finally, we head to Medugorje. Day 4: Medugorje – Sv. Stefan – Budva – Kotor – Shkodra
After breakfast, we leave our hotel and set out for the enchanting Kotor. During the journey, you will enjoy magnificent views. Upon arrival in Kotor, during our walking tour of this medieval town famous for its fjords in the Balkans, you will feel the narrow streets and the historical atmosphere of the old city and explore the heart of Kotor. With its unique architecture and sea views, this small town will take you on a journey through time. Next, we head to Budva, one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Balkans! After our panoramic city tour, we move on to Sv. Stefan, famous for its rich history and breathtaking views. We will admire the magnificent view of this islet from above. This region, like a postcard at every corner, is an ideal place for photography. After all these discoveries, we proceed to Shkodra, a beautiful city in Albania. Day 5: Shkodra – Tirana - Ohrid
After breakfast, we depart from our hotel and head to Tirana, the capital of Albania. A fascinating tour awaits us in this beautiful city, rich in historical and cultural significance, where we will explore Tirana, considered the center of Bektashism in Europe. Upon arrival in Tirana, we visit one of the city’s most important symbols, the Ethem Bey Mosque. Construction began in 1789 and was completed in 1923; this structure is one of Albania’s cultural heritages. We pause briefly at Skanderbeg Square and see the Skanderbeg Statue proudly standing in the center of the square. Another highlight of the tour is the Clock Tower, the symbol of Tirana, built by Ethem Bey in 1821. During this tour, Tirana’s modern face and historical past come together, allowing you to create unforgettable memories. After free time, we travel to Ohrid. Along the way, breathtaking scenery accompanies us. Upon arrival in Ohrid, we take a tour introducing this historic city, which was one of the important bases of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkans. Among the places we will see during the tour are the Monument of Saints Cyril and Methodius, the 9th-century Byzantine monks believed to have developed the Cyrillic alphabet, and the Church of St. Sophia. Day 6: Ohrid – Tetova (Kalkandelen) – Skopje
After breakfast, we pack our suitcases and set off to explore the unique nature and cultural treasures of Macedonia. Our first stop is Tetova (Kalkandelen), one of Macedonia’s most beautiful towns. Here we will visit the Painted Mosque (Alaca Camii), one of the most colorful and impressive mosques in the Balkans. Built in the 15th century, this mosque will fascinate you with its vibrant exterior colors and intricate decorations. While exploring this exquisite example of Ottoman architecture, we will embark on a journey deep into history. After our visit to Tetova, we continue through lush green mountains toward Priština, the capital of Kosovo. Upon arrival in Priština, we begin our panoramic city tour, where we will explore Kosovo’s modern and historical sides. During the tour, we will also visit many valuable Ottoman-era structures. We will see the Fatih Sultan Mehmed Mosque and the 18th-century Yaşar Pasha Mosque. During this journey through the city’s historical heritage, we will visit the Tomb of Sultan Murad I Hüdavendigâr, the Ottoman Sultan killed in the Kosovo Field as a result of the 1389 Battle of Kosovo, giving us the opportunity to commemorate this important historical event and its place in Ottoman history. After our tour in Priština, we head to Skopje. Along the way, Macedonia’s breathtaking scenery accompanies us. Upon arrival in Skopje, our first stop is the Mustafa Pasha Mosque, built in 1492 and one of the city’s largest and most magnificent mosques. Then we visit the Murad Pasha Mosque, built in the 15th century. This mosque stands out especially for its Ottoman-era craftsmanship and architecture. Continuing our tour, we will see Kapan Han and Suli Han in the heart of Skopje. These structures, excellent examples of Ottoman caravanserais, were once important centers where merchants stayed and traded. We then visit the Stone Bridge, which has become a symbol of Skopje. Built in the 15th century, this bridge connects the two sides of the Vardar River. Walking across the Stone Bridge, we continue our tour by seeing the Turkish and Jewish neighborhoods along the Vardar River. During our riverside walk, we pass through Makedonija Square. This square is the largest and most central point in Skopje and is surrounded by modern buildings. Here we will encounter the statue of Alexander the Great and other monuments. Then we view the Ottoman Bridge from the outside, dating from the 15th century, and visit the Davut Pasha Bath, once again feeling the splendor of the Ottoman period.
