Day 1: Izmir – Belgrade
Meeting at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport departure terminal. Departure to Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, on AJet flight VF1001 at 17:05. Day 2: Belgrade – Sarajevo
After breakfast, we depart for Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Upon arrival, a city that for centuries was the cultural capital of the Balkans and has gone down in history as the place where World War I broke out following the assassination of Austrian-Hungarian Crown Prince Archduke Franz Ferdinand by the Serbs in 1914. In the 1992 war, it suffered great destruction as a result of the devastating conflicts between Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks, but Sarajevo managed to preserve much of its beauty. During our panoramic city tour, we will see the famous Baščaršija, the historic Ottoman inn Morica Han, the Catholic Cathedral reflecting the city’s religious cosmopolitanism, the Synagogue, the Gazi Husrev Bey and Ferhadija Mosques, the Latin Bridge where Franz Ferdinand’s assassination took place in 1914, the Old Library, and the Western-style buildings formed during the city’s 40-year Austro-Hungarian rule. After breakfast, we depart from Sarajevo. Our first stop is Mostar, famous for its historical and cultural richness. Here we will see the Mostar Bridge, built in 1557 by Architect Hayreddin and one of the masterpieces of Ottoman architecture. This bridge was destroyed in 1992, but was rebuilt in 2004 with the contributions of the Republic of Turkey. After exploring the enchanting atmosphere of Mostar, we will visit the Koski Mehmed Pasha Mosque. Then we head to Blagaj. Blagaj was established at the source of the Buna River, one of the strongest water springs in Europe. After a short free time here, we proceed to Počitelj. By visiting Počitelj, preserved with its historical texture and known as the Turkish Village, we will see the works made by the Ottomans in the 16th century. Finally, we head to Medugorje. Day 4: Medugorje – Sv. Stefan – Budva – Kotor – Shkodër
After breakfast, we leave our hotel and set off toward the enchanting Kotor. During our journey, you will enjoy magnificent views. When we arrive in Kotor, on our walking tour in this medieval town famous for its fjords in the Balkans, you will feel the historical atmosphere of the narrow streets and the old town and discover the heart of Kotor. With its unique architecture and sea view, this small town will take you on a journey through time. Then, our next stop is Budva, one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Balkans! After our panoramic city tour, we head to Sv. Stefan, famous for its rich history and dazzling views. We will admire the magnificent view of this islet from above. Day 5: Shkodër – Tirana - Ohrid
After breakfast, we leave our hotel and head toward Tirana, the capital of Albania. In this beautiful city rich in historical and cultural aspects, an impressive tour awaits us as we discover Tirana, considered the center of Bektashism in Europe. Upon arrival in Tirana, we visit the Ethem Bey Mosque, one of the city’s most important symbols. This structure, whose construction began in 1789 and was completed in 1923, is one of Albania’s cultural heritages. We take a short break at Skanderbeg Square and see the Skanderbeg Statue proudly standing in the middle of the square. The Clock Tower, a symbol of Tirana built by Ethem Bey in 1821, is also one of the highlights of our tour. During this tour, Tirana’s modern face and historical past come together, allowing you to create unforgettable memories. After free time, we travel to Ohrid. Breathtaking views will accompany us along the way. Day 6: Ohrid – Tetova (Kalkandelen) – Skopje
After breakfast, we pack our suitcases and set off to discover Macedonia’s unique nature and cultural treasures. Our first stop is Tetova (Kalkandelen), one of Macedonia’s most striking towns. Here, we will visit the Painted Mosque, one of the most colorful and impressive mosques in the Balkans. Built in the 15th century, this mosque will fascinate you with its vivid colors and detailed decorations on the exterior. As we discover this rare example of Ottoman architecture, we will embark on a journey into the depths of history. After our visit in Tetova, we head toward Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, accompanied by lush green mountains. Upon arrival in Pristina after our journey, we begin our panoramic city tour where we will discover the modern and historical aspects of Kosovo. During our tour, we will also visit many valuable structures from the Ottoman period. We will see the Fatih Sultan Mehmed Mosque and the 18th-century Yaşar Pasha Mosque. During this tour through the city’s historical heritage, we will have the opportunity to commemorate this important historical event and its place in Ottoman history by visiting the Tomb of Ottoman Sultan Murad I Hüdavendigâr, who was killed in the Kosovo Plain as a result of the Battle of Kosovo in 1389. After our tour in Pristina, we head toward Skopje. The breathtaking landscapes of Macedonia will accompany us along the way. Upon arrival in Skopje, our first stop is the Mustafa Pasha Mosque, one of the city’s largest and most magnificent mosques, built in 1492. Then we visit the Murat Pasha Mosque, built in the 15th century. This mosque is especially notable for its Ottoman-era craftsmanship and architecture. Continuing our tour, we will see Kapan Han and Sulu Han located in the heart of Skopje. Fine examples of Ottoman inns, these structures were once important centers where merchants stayed and traded. Later, we visit the Stone Bridge, which has become a symbol of Skopje. Built in the 15th century, this bridge connects the two banks of the Vardar River. Walking across the Stone Bridge, we will continue our tour by seeing the Turkish and Jewish neighborhoods along the Vardar River. During our riverside walk, we pass through Macedonia Square. This square is Skopje’s largest and most central point and is surrounded by modern buildings. Here, we will encounter the statue of Alexander the Great and other monuments.
