With a comfortable journey, we follow the İzmir - Aliağa - Ayvalık - Edremit route and reach Çanakkale in the morning.
Day 2 – JUNE 14, 2025
After arriving early in the morning at Çanakkale, we take the ferry to Eceabat. After our breakfast break here, we continue to Kabatepe Port, where we start our sea journey that will last approximately 1.5 hours to Gökçeada.
Upon arriving in Gökçeada, we meet up with our waiting minibuses and start our island tour. Located at the intersection of the Aegean and Marmara climates, Gökçeada is the largest island in Turkey and is known as the place where the sun sets last in Turkey due to its location at the westernmost part, with the İnce (Avlaka) Cape. The island is a leading address for quiet and tranquil vacations. Financial Times described Gökçeada as ''one of the 5 Mediterranean islands for a perfect summer getaway that you probably have never heard of, along with the Italian Favignana, Croatian Vis, Spanish Tabarca, and Greek Founi.'' The villages on Gökçeada, known as the Rum villages, are settlement places dating back centuries. To truly feel Gökçeada, you must visit its nostalgic places that charm you. Gökçeada, formerly known as Imbros, has been home to a Greek population for centuries. In 1960, there were 5,487 Greeks and 289 Turks living on Gökçeada, but due to an accelerating migration since that year, the Greek population living there year-round has now dropped to about 300.Bademli, Zeytinli, Tepeköy, and Dereköy are Rum villages that have been declared urban protected areas. In these villages, the majority of the population is Greek. Only Kaleköy is not under protection and is the only village without any Greek population today. We visit the protected villages, learn about wine production, taste the mastic muhallebi, and then head to Kaleköy center. After having our lunch break here and picking up the famous Efibadem cookies, we return to the ferry dock and head back to Kabatepe port. After a 1.5-hour sea journey, we arrive at Kabatepe port and proceed towards Eceabat with our vehicle, taking the Eceabat - Çanakkale ferry to reach Çanakkale and then head to our hotel.
Dinner at the hotel and relaxation.
Day 3 – JUNE 15, 2025
After having breakfast at our hotel, we will head to Bozcaada. After shopping for cheese in Ezine, we continue to Geyikli port from Ezine as we descend. We leave our vehicle in a suitable spot and board the ferry, enjoying a pleasant half-hour journey before arriving at Bozcaada Castle which welcomes us. Known as Leukophrys in ancient times and Tenedos in Greek mythology, Bozcaada has been invaded and changed hands many times throughout history due to its strategic location. Excavations in the necropolis area of the island reveal that its history dates back to 3000 B.C. Wine production, fishing, and especially since the 1990s, tourism are the main economic activities. Bozcaada is famous for its wine grapes and wines. A large part of the island is covered with vineyards. A small amount of grain, legumes, and fruits are grown. In this district, which consists of the Greek neighborhood and the Turkish neighborhood, we stroll through every street, taking plenty of photos and doing our shopping, and then return to the Geyikli port by ferry to meet our waiting vehicle and follow the route through Kaz Mountains - Edremit - Ayvalık - İzmir , taking necessary breaks along the way, and when we arrive in Kuşadası, we bid farewell, hoping to meet again on our next trip.
