TOUR PROGRAM:
Day 1; Marmaris – Rhodes, Rhodes City Tour
Departure from Marmaris Port at 08:45.
After completing the check-in process at the ferry office located in Marmaris Cruise Port at least 1 hour before departure, we set off for Rhodes by fast catamaran. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, we are greeted by our guide at Rhodes Port and begin the City Tour. During the panoramic City Tour, we will see the places including Mandraki Port, the main port of Rhodes which was home to the famous Rhodes statue in ancient times, the Murat Reis Mosque, and passing by Elli Beach, a very clean beach close to the city center, we move to the Aquarium Area, and visit the Kritika neighborhood, where Turks who were exiled from Crete once lived together. After taking a photo break at Monte Smith Hill with a magnificent view of both the New City and the Old City, we visit the ancient Rhodes Acropolis, established in the 3rd century BC, where archaeological relics are found. Following the visit to the Apollo Statue and the Ancient Stadium, we continue to the Old Town area by bus. The Old Town Tour continues as a walking tour. Within the historical city walls, through narrow streets, we visit buildings that reflect the shared heritage of the Knights of St. John, the Ottomans, and the Italians, including the Knights Street, Ahmet Ağa Library, Ottoman Madrasa and Baths, the Grand Master Palace famous for its sculptures and mosaics, the Archaeology Museum which was once the hospital of the knights, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, the Clock Tower, the Turkish School, Cem Sultan House, İbrahim Pasha Mosque with our guide. After completing the City Tour at the Square of the Fountain, also known as Hippocrates Square, we transfer to the hotel for accommodation.
Day 2; Free Day in Rhodes Island,
After breakfast at the hotel, you can either cool off in the beautiful sea of Rhodes and sunbathe, or rent a car to take a journey back in time on Rhodes, the richest island in the Aegean in terms of history and culture. It is ideal hours in the late afternoon to get lost in the narrow streets of the old town and take pictures. You can encounter architectural works of the civilizations that have lived on the island everywhere due to its rich history. For your dinner, we recommend making reservations in advance at seafood restaurants or taverns with alternative Greek music. Overnight in your hotel.
Day 3; Free Day in Rhodes Island, Rhodes – Marmaris, (Lindos Tour – Extra: 50 Euro)
Departing from Rhodes Port at 16:00.
After breakfast at the hotel, you can either rent a car to journey back in time on Rhodes, the wealthiest island in the Aegean in terms of history and culture or join the Lindos Tour organized by our guide for an additional fee. On the route, you can see the locations where some scenes of the movie Zorba were filmed in the Kallithea area and visit the Tsampika Monastery, where those without children in Greece go to pray for a child. In Lindos, you can explore the snow-white houses, narrow streets adorned with white flagstones, and enjoy its unique sea. The Lindos Tour concludes at the port to be used for the return.
Guests not joining the Lindos Tour should be at the port for passport control one hour before the ferry departure time. After approximately 1 hour of sea travel, we arrive at Marmaris Port.
