TOUR PROGRAM:
Day 1; Marmaris – Rhodes, Rhodes City Tour
Departure from Marmaris Port at 09:15.
After checking in at the ferry office located in Marmaris Cruise Port at least 1 hour before departure, we will set sail for Rhodes by fast catamaran. After a sea journey of approximately 1 hour, we will be welcomed by our guide at Rhodes Port and head out to carry out the City Tour. During this panoramic City Tour, we will see places such as Mandraki Port (the main port of Rhodes where the famous Rhodes statue of ancient times was located), Murat Reis Mosque, and Elli Beach, which, despite being close to the city center, is a very clean beach. We will also visit the Aquarium area and the Kritika neighborhood where Turks exiled from Crete once lived. After taking a photo break at Monte Smith Hill with a breathtaking view of both the New City and the Old City, we will visit the ancient Rhodes Acropolis, established in the 3rd century BC, where archaeological artifacts are located. After visiting the Apollo Statue and Ancient Stadium, we will head to the Old Town area by bus. The Old Town area will continue as a walking tour. We will visit the structures within the castle that reflect the shared heritage of the Knights of St. John, Ottoman and Italian empires, making us feel like we have traveled back in time; such as the Knights Street, Ahmet Ağa Library, Ottoman Madrassas and Baths, the Grand Master's Palace famous for its sculptures and mosaics, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Clock Tower, Turkish School, Cem Sultan House, Ibrahim Pasha Mosque with our guide. We will complete the City Tour at the Fountain Square, also known as Hippocrates Square, and transfer to the hotel for accommodation.
Day 2; Free Day in Rhodes Island,
After breakfast at the hotel, you can either cool off and sunbathe on the wonderful beaches of Rhodes or rent a car to embark on a journey back in time in Rhodes, the richest island in the Aegean in terms of history and culture. It is ideal to get lost and take pictures in the narrow streets of the old town in the late afternoon. The architectural works of the civilizations that have lived on the island due to its rich history can be encountered everywhere. For your dinner, we recommend making a reservation in advance at seafood restaurants or taverns with alternative Greek music. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 3; Free Day in Rhodes Island, Rhodes – Marmaris, (Lindos Tour – Extra: 50 Euro)
Departure from Rhodes Port at 16:00.
After breakfast at the hotel, you can optionally rent a car to embark on a journey back in time in Rhodes, the richest island in the Aegean in terms of history and culture. Alternatively, you can join the Lindos Tour, organized by our guide, which is the most charming, warm, and richest town on the island. You can see the places where several scenes of the movie Zorba were filmed in the Kallithea region on your route, and visit the Tsampika Monastery, where childless couples go to wish for children in Greece. In Lindos, you can walk through the white houses, narrow streets adorned with white slate stones, and enjoy the unique sea. The Lindos Tour concludes at the port where the return ferry will be used.
Guests not participating in the Lindos Tour should be ready at the port 1 hour before the ferry departure time to proceed through passport control. After a sea journey of approximately 1 hour, we will arrive at Marmaris Port at 18:00. (Due to time difference, the arrival time in Marmaris is 18:00)
