KAKAVA FESTIVALS - HIDRELLEZ FESTIVAL
On May 5th... Welcome to SPRING with the Great Fire to be lit
2 Days - 1 Night
Day 1 - NIGHT JOURNEY - MAY 4, 2026
Evening 20:30 Pickup Kuşadası Türkmen Neighborhood Candan Tarhan Boulevard Süper Coffee, 21:00 Söke train station in front of the Tariş market, 21:45 Aydın Maternity Hospital. After picking up our guests from these points, we will follow the route İzmir - Ayvalık, and after our breaks along the way, we will reach Lapseki and arrive in Gelibolu by crossing the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge. Following the Keşan road, we will enter Edirne in the morning.
Day 2: Karaağaç - Lozan Monument - Selimiye Mosque - Kakava Fire - MAY 5, 2026
After having our breakfast at a suitable place, we will start our tour of Edirne.
** Edirne, formerly known as Hadrianapolis
** Karaağaç Station, Lozan Monument, Hıdırlık Fortress, Balkan History Museum
** Edirne - Selimiye Mosque and Complex
** Lunch recommendation is the famous Edirne liver. (extra)
After our shopping of Edirne's famous Almond paste and Almond Cookies (Kavala),
** We will go to the area designated for the Edirne Kakava Festivals, starting with the lighting of the Great Fire which symbolizes the arrival of spring. We will enjoy joyful and pleasant hours at the Kakava Festivals where the Roma celebrate spring’s arrival with music and dance. After immortalizing these moments with our photos, we will check into our hotel.
Day 3: II. Bayezid Complex - Central Mosque - Edirne Bazaar - MAY 6, 2026
After having breakfast at our hotel,
** Visit to II. Bayezid Complex and Health Center
** Central Mosque
** 3 Şerefeli Mosque and after our visits, we will have free time at Edirne Bazaar before starting our return journey.
After having a meal break in Keşan, we will follow the route through Gelibolu - Çanakkale - İzmir and arrive joyfully in Kuşadası, bidding farewell with our best wishes until we meet again on our next trip.
