Day 1 — City Center and North Island Tour
We meet at the check-in office at Çeşme Customs Port at 08:00 for our Chios Island tour. After passport control, we set sail into the blue of the Aegean at 09:20 and reach Chios Island after an enjoyable 30-minute ferry ride.
After our entry procedures, we start to explore Chios Island with our guide.
First, we begin our walking tour in Apoloteria, the island's center, where we visit the Mecidiye Mosque from the time of Sultan Abdülmecit, Vounaki Square, and Chios Castle. After getting to know the Ottoman artifacts inside the castle, we switch to our vehicle and start our North Island tour.
Our first stop is Tabakika, a historic four windmills by the sea, which is one of the symbols of the island. We take a photo break here. Then we move on to Daskalopetra, believed to be where Homer wrote his works. This rocky area, turned into a school by his students in the 6th century BC, is significant both historically and culturally.
We have our lunch break in a charming fishing village called Langada. You can taste fresh seafood, mezes, and local delicacies at the taverns by the sea.
On the way back, we take a photo break at the Agios Isidoros Church, one of the iconic structures of Chios Island, located over the sea. It is said that resin is associated with this saint.
Day 2 — Free Day
After breakfast, you can spend this day as you wish.
You can shop in the town center, sit at seaside cafes, swim, or color your day with additional activities suggested by your guide.
In the evening, our guests can join a fun Greek night featuring live music and dance, where they can taste the unique flavors of traditional Greek cuisine, accompanied by “bouzouki”.
Day 3 — South Island Tour
After breakfast, we start our South Island tour. Our first stop is Armolia village, famous for its handmade ceramics. We take a short break at one of the pottery workshops.
Next, we head to Mesta, the best-preserved medieval village. We take a coffee break in the village square after passing through the labyrinth streets and visiting the Taksiarchis Church.
Then we continue to Pyrgi village, known for its houses adorned with geometric patterns. We receive information about this special decoration technique called “Xsista” from our guide.
We complete our tour with a lunch break at a seaside tavern. Here, our guests can taste the seafood and mezes they wish.
After that, we move to the port and board the ferry for our return trip to Çeşme after completing customs procedures.
